Check Custom Domain Emails from Your Gmail

Tired of checking your domain emails ([email protected]) one-by-one?

Looking for any permanent solution to check your domain emails easily?

Well, here comes this guide.

I have explained how you can check, send and receive emails from your domain emails ([email protected]) inside your Gmail dashboard.

No matter how many domains/websites you have, add all of them to your Gmail account and check all of them at one place.

So, let’s start this quick guide…

Check All Your Custom Domain Emails from the Gmail Account

Before proceeding this quick guide, I assume that you already know how to create a domain email from the cPanel.

I’ll proceed with this article step-by-step.

1. Login to Your cPanel Account

First of all, you will need to log in to your cPanel account. Generally, you can do so by going to the address yourdomain.com/cpanel but it may vary at different hosting providers have different cPanel URLs.

2. Go to Email Accounts

Either by typing in the search bar or by scrolling down; search for an option called Email Accounts and click to open.

If you have already created any custom domain email account then you will find there. Otherwise, create one by following the on-screen options.

3. Click on the Configure Email Client

As soon you enter in the Email Accounts option, you will find the email(s) that you had already created there. As shown below,

Identify the email(s) that you wanna configure inside the Gmail and click on the little drop-down at the right side. And, then click on the Configure Email Client button.

Note that if you do not have any already created email, you can create one by using the create button on the same page.

4. Find the Manual Email Client Configuration Settings

On the email client configuration page, you will find a few manual configuration settings which will look something like this,

Keep the tab open and go to the next step.

5. Open Gmail and Go to Settings

Open Gmail in the new tab and log in with the account which you wanna check the other domain email(s) from. Now, since you are logged in, go to Gmail settings.

You can find the setting by clicking on the right-top side gear icon as shown in the screenshot above.

6. Go to Accounts and Import and Click Add a Mail Account

After you go to the settings, navigate to the Accounts and Import tab, scroll down and you will find an option saying Check mail from other accounts; click Add a Mail Account before that.

7. Enter Your Custom Domain Email Account

As soon you click on the Add a Mail Account button, a popup window asking for the Email address will appear.

Just enter your domain email address which you want to check the emails for and then click Next.

It will ask you for a confirmation to add your account to the Gmailify, just click on the Next button as shown in the below image.

8. Enter All the Domain Email Details

Now, it’s a real job.

Fill in all details of your domain email as required.

Let me explain each and every field in detail here because this is the main step of connecting your Domain Email to Gmail.

  • Email address: Type your domain email address ([email protected])
  • Username: Type your username. Generally, the email address itself is the username.
  • Password: Type password which you had created during creating the domain email ID.
  • POP Server: Type POP Server address. Generally yourdomain.com or mail.yourdomain.com.
  • Port: 995
  • Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server: Do not forget to check this option, otherwise, all the messages from the server will be deleted after you get them in the Gmail.
  • Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail: Check this option to make the connection secure.
  • Label incoming messages: Check this option and create a label so that you can identify from which email address an email has come.
  • Archive incoming messages (Skip the Inbox): I prefer not to check this option because this sends all the emails in the Archive box skipping the inbox.

In order to fill in POP Server and Port details, you have to go back to the tab that I told you to leave open in Step 4.

First, try to use Secure SSL/TLS Settings to fill in POP Server and Port details, and if these don’t work go for the Non-SSL Settings which is NOT recommended at first.

9. Click on the Add Account

Click on the Add Account>> button which will take you to the next page where you may have to enter the verification code which you will receive on your domain email.

And, to access the domain email, instead of the Configure Email Client click on the Access Webmail, log in using your email username and password and there you’ll have your verification code.

So, that’s it.

Wrapping it Up!

I may not have written this article in an easy to understand format but it’s not that difficult as it seems.

Let me wrap up the doable steps once more here,

#1. Login to the cPanel

#2. Go to Email Accounts

#3. Click on the Configure Email Client

#4. Open Gmail in New Tab

#5. Navigate to Settings > Accounts and Import

#6. Click on the Add a Mail Account before the Option Check Mail from Other Account

#7. Use Your SSL/Non-SSL Settings (#3) to Fill in the Details
